Duties and Responsibilities include:
Attend short courses and seminars for professional development
Develop appropriate methods for course delivery and assessment
Evaluate and utilize a variety of instructional techniques so that his/her students may have opportunities to explore these techniques in their own pedagogic development
Perform core lecturing tasks, such as: setting of examination questions, marking assignments, providing formal and informal feedback to students, and record keeping.
Supervise students on practicum, and developing strategies to enhance the student teaching/learning process.
Function as part of a team in the delivery of an integrated teaching programme within the institution
Enhance teaching profile of the institution through research and publication on teacher education
Develop a teaching portfolio/profile
Abide by the Code of Regulations and the Regulations of the Joint Board of Teacher Education (JBTE) and the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica.
